Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey has declared that 50 people had to be rescued from the Safari Skyride on Saturday evening, due to power nonstarter. The electrical company EDF has said that various thousands of masses in the area lost their electrical energy after a cable break.
But the power cut affected the Safari Skyride the most which travels on the peak of the park, showing visitors the sites. (more…)
It is literally quite amazing to think that the summer is nearly over, I mean we havent really experience hardly any sunshine. From what I can recall, we have really only had a week or so of good solid sunshine, but people are starting to get quite nervous. They are getting a bit anxious simply because of the fact that they do not want the cold winter nights to come around again so quickly. (more…)
We are moving towards the autumn season faster and faster, but where has the summer gone in the UK? Well to be honest there hasnt really been one this year, we had a bout of sunshine in June and one more in July and that was about it. Some people have woke up this month and thought to themselves where has the vacation time of year actually gone? (more…)
If you are reading this post, then you are in all likeliness wondering why you should think about Christmas now, when it is literally months away. There is some clever people who actually buy the gifts that they need throughout the year and then those that start running around at the last minute trying to buy everything. But what is probably more important is when various people planned to go away the previous year, whether is was to a hotel or park. (more…)
A recent holiday break to Miami soon turned into a nightmare when police found what turned out to be traces of cocaine in the trunk of our hire car.
My girlfriend and I had decided on a last minute bargain package deal to Florida. We’d been lucky enough to get a really cheap last minute fly-drive deal that gave us 7 nights to explore Orlando and enjoy the Gulf coast. (more…)
pIn a sense theme park holidays were considered holidays for families. This had always been thought of as more of a family holiday. Recently couples have started to embark on some more theme park holiday adventures.!–more– With some of the offers around how could anybody turn this down, lets look at some of the reasons why this is happening./pp/ppNow Theme park holidays have become great contenders with all other holidays. When the prices started to fall they started to compete with a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/St_Lucia_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankSt Lucia holidays/a or a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Barbados_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankBarbados/a holidays. Now that they had the top accommodation, Theme parks became a strong candidate for quality luxury holidays./pp/ppThe hotels just seem to get better and better at the theme parks as well. Now that they had the hotels to grab even more tourists, they now had a route into even more of the tourism industry. Disney World is probably the most successful for this; they always have offers on and even specialise in holidays for couples as well./pp/ppWhat could they bring to tourists next though, surely they had exhausted all other avenues? The next new thing to come just had to be weddings, so thats what they did. Once you have a holiday destination and a series of hotels on it, the next thing to do is surely to offer people the chance to get married. Looking at it from the couples point of view, what a great place to get married, you then have an exciting honeymoon ahead of you./pp/ppWhat does this mean for the other holidays, like spa holidays or a href=http://www.holidays4scubadiving.co.uk/ target=_blankdiving holidays/a? At some point Theme Parks will start to incorporate other holiday types as well? However, whos to say that Disney wont be buying a portion of the sea and building a Theme park there!/p
pRecently I discovered a rather strange type of holiday. Most people go on holiday to enjoy the relaxation of the sun and sea. Some people go on holiday to just get away from home and to get some time away from work or even the family.!–more– Apparently though, celebrity holidays are quite popular…/ppI was looking through some holidays online, and then all of a sudden this popped up. Some tour operators specifically marketing for celebrity holidays. I wasnt exactly sure what this was, i just assumed that it was a niche market specifically for celebrities? This intrigued me, so i had to do some more research on it, then finding there was more than one kind of this holiday./ppOne of the options for this celebrity holiday was a simple here are where there is a high concentration of celebrities. There is a selection of hotels to stay at, that are relatively near some celebrities. So you can have a great holiday, but you also have the opportunity to meet a celebrity. Now would be a good time to let you know, that they dont list where you can exactly find the celebrities./ppPeople do also have the option, to go on one of these holidays to feel like a celebrity. So without being too freaky, you can head to a destination where celebrities have been before. These seemed to be quite expensive from what I could tell./ppThe last one wasnt a tour operator, but quite literally mentioned where the best places to find a celebrity were. I was a little startled by this, i am sure that celebrities may be a little freaked out. Although they seemed to just suggest where they were, some of there directions seemed quite accurate./ppI decided to look into all of these and find out where it is celebrities go on holiday, from what I could tell, the most popular destinations are a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/St_Lucia_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankSt Lucia holidays/a, a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Barbados_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankBarbados holidays/a and a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Egypt_holidays.htm target=_blankEgypt holidays/a./p
pThe battle of the titans has ensued with the two top holidays going at it. By quite a long way, holidays to Egypt and the Caribbean are the most sought after and by far the most popular. Egypt is more than capable to hold against all of the Caribbean islands.!–more–/ppa href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Cuba_holidays.htm target=_blankCuba holidays/a have really taken off in the last 10 years, boosting the overall tourism industry in the Caribbean to massive amounts. However thanks to destinations like St Lucia, Barbados, Grenada and Cuba the Caribbean has a massive amount of visitors every day. Although they may look the same, each of these islands feel completely different. Cuba has its own separated frozen in time history whereas Barbados is very modern and rich looking country. The St Lucia island is ever growing, the lush forests, and the fantastic spa therapies./ppIt all depends on how capable Egypt is at retaining its tourists, or if they are all getting bored and going to the Caribbean? Well look at it this way, every month around 130,000 people search for a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Egypt_holidays.htm target=_blankEgypt holidays/a just in the UK. Thats a phenomenal number, and although it is less than all of the Caribbean island searches, the number of searches for Egypt outweighs that of any other single country, at the moment./ppSo why is Egypt so high on the list of tourists? If you consider what Egypts history is, it is home to some of the oldest civilizations in the world. With such a diverse and extensive history dating back over 7000 years and most documented, this makes Egypt very unique. Its not just Egypts history thats fascinating, activity wise Egypt offers some great diving locations, Spa holidays and archaeological dig sites. No matter where it is you head to, there will be something fascinating awaiting you. Egypt has a great climate as well, although for some this maybe too hot./ppSo there you have it, two of the a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/ target=_blankholiday/a destination kings./p
pWhen i was looking for somewhere to have my wedding, I came across these and thought you may want to have a look. So here is a list of what the tour operators say are the best and most popular places to get married:/pp/ppBarbados weddings. a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/Barbados_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankBarbados holidays/a have always been much sought after and the reasons are pretty obvious.!–more– The beaches are to die for, not a pebble in sight, and the sea is unbelievably clear. Not only this but the night life surrounding you on this island will make for a fantastic night out on your honeymoon, much romance and love. If you want to have an extended honeymoon at one of the most exciting places in the world, then Barbados is a great location. Looking at most of the weddings available, the hotel cost will usually cover the wedding as well, just remember to book in advance!/pp/ppTry the St Lucia weddings. Now for another fantastic Island in the Caribbean, this place is truly stunning. If you want a all out massive wedding and everything to be sorted out for you, the a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/St_Lucia_luxury_holidays.htm target=_blankSt Lucia holidays/a package can be modified to include; wedding coordinator, government fees, clergyman or magistrate, decorated garden or wedding site, witnesses, bridal bouquet and matching buttonhole, wedding cake and even a bottle of bubbly. St Lucia is covered in lush forest and is a truly beautiful island, not many others really compare to it, although it isnt very cheap./pp/ppKenya weddings, specifically Pinewood Village. The beaches are absolutely glorious, and can you imagine yourself (the bride) being led down to the seaside by an entourage of Maasai warriors under floral archways to the marriage dais on the shore, this wedding is completely exclusive and not a single other wedding will be taking place on the same day as yours. The Pinewood Wedding Package includes a His and Hers massage, manicure and pedicure for the bride, pinhole and bridal bouquet, wedding cake, decorated beach area including bridal archway, cocktail for guests and sparkling wine for bridal couple, optional reception in Peponi Beach Restaurant, sparkling wine on ice in room, all expenses for registration fees, registrar and wedding certificate and even an escort by Maasai warriors./pp/ppAny of these a href=http://www.tropicalsky.co.uk/ target=_blankholidays/a are fantastic; I would recommend the Kenya wedding./p
pIve now worked as a travel rep. in the Costa del Sol for over 10 years and I have found that people tend to repeat the same patterns. Every year (and Ive been doing this work for over ten years) I meet people who make the same mistakes as those who have been before them.!–more– Ive even met the same people each year who regularly forget the same things./pp/ppOne of the most commonly overlooked holiday requirements is a href=http://www.gosimply.com/car-hire/ target=_blankhiring a car/a. Many people expect the car hire firms will have the cars that they want when they arrive. Demand for hire cars during the peak weeks is very high and many people can find themselves dissatisfied when they cant get the car that they want./pp/ppThe answer is very simple and will put a few pounds in your pocket. Always book your car hire before you leave the UK. The further in advance that you can book your car hire the more you are likely to save. You will also stand a far better chance of getting the car that you want. So if you have set your heart on a nice open top car to use while on your holidays dont leave it to chance, book in advance to avoid disappointment./pp/ppThe next most commonly overlooked travel requirement is insurance. Often this hasnt been overlooked but instead of getting a policy that provides adequate cover the holiday-maker may have scrimped on a a href=http://www.gosimply.com/travel-insurance/ target=_blankholiday travel insurance/a policy that doesnt include essentials like repatriation in the event of injury./pp/ppMake certain that you and your family are adequately covered by your travel insurance policy. Adequate medical cover is particularly important if you expect to engage in any potentially dangerous activities like parascending, go-karting or dangerous sports. Over the years that I have worked as a rep Ive seen far too many people injured or sick on holiday but without the medical insurance they really need. Without it repatriation can be incredibly expensive./pp/ppAnother commonly overlooked item is a universal plug that fits Spanish power outlets. Spanish power outlets provide 220V AC which is suitable for most UK appliances including hair dryers and telephone chargers. But Spain uses a differently shaped plugs so you need an adapter./pp/ppThe maines voltage in the United States is 120V so you will find that most UK appliances will not work there. Always find out what the voltage is in the country you are travelling to and make certain you get yourself an adapter for Spain./pp/ppEverybody knows that sunscreen is an essential but many people travelling from the UK forget to put some on before they disembark from the aircraft. Every year people arrive here in Spain without having applied adequate suncscreen and within a couple of hours they can be badly sunburned./pp/ppAnd another immensely useful item that is commonly overlooked is a first aid kit. Pack a few essentials including some antiseptic ointment, plasters, maybe a couple of small bandages and dressings, some Vaseline and pain-killers. You may also want to pack some anti-malaria tablets, insect repellent and maybe some antihistamine cream for those annoyingly itchy bites./pp/ppI really hope that these few suggestions will mean I meet fewer people having problems due to things they have forgotten./pp/ppgt;gt;gt;gt;gt;gt;gt;gt;gt;/pp/ppFor a great deal on a href=http://www.gosimply.com/airport-parking/ target=_blankCheap Airport Parking/a I recommend that you take a look at the prices provided by Gosimply.com./pp/p
