Many people think that Paris is the most romantic destination on the planet and a city for lovers so it is no wonder that many couples choose to go there. If you have decided to treat the one you love to a breakaway in this romantic city you will likely want to know about some good places to visit. What follows is a list of some of the most romantic places in Paris; this is only the tip of the ice-berg though and you will find a lot more such places if you explore.

Taking A Boat Along The River Seine.

It is possible to enjoy a romantic meal while floating down the River Seine - could there be anything more romantic. This fantastic city will pass by as you float along. Many people who are planning to pop the question to their loved one will do it this way and with such a romantic setting, they usually get the answer they were looking for.

A Night-Time Visit To The Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower is a landmark in Paris which is probably the most famous one in the whole of France. If you want to experience the true romanticism of the Eiffel Tower, then you really need to go and see it at night. When you visit this monument at night you will have to deal with fewer tourists. The way it lights up at night is truly magnificent.

A Stroll Around Parc Monceau.

This park is a beautiful place to visit in Paris. This is a wonderful location for an afternoon stroll with the one you love. Situated in the south of the city, this beautiful park provides the perfect setting for a nice comfortable stroll with the love of your life. Here you will also see many other couples walking hand in hand. You have to feel a little bit romantic while walking around Parc Monceau; it would be impossible not to.

Today it has become a trend for more people to drive in their car over to their foreign holiday destination. Many people drive down and catch the dover to calais ferry. This often saves worrying about driving through the tunnel and worrying about disneyland paris tickets. And what better way to get to France for some city breaks europe?

Planning is needed if you’re traveling all over Europe. A tour package will probably save you the trouble of planning for your trip. Most people go for the group tours so that they won’t have to deal with the language barrier (if a tour guide is available for the group to use) and so that they can concentrate on relaxing after they’ve paid for everything.

But if you’re looking for adventure, I suggest ditching the tour group and winging it from start to finish. It’s nerve-racking to say the least, particularly if it’s your first time. Traveling independently means being all alone and on your own when it comes to finding accommodations and places to eat. On the plus side, winging it may be less expensive than paying for a tour package.

Tourist travel can be cheaper and most seasoned tourists will tell you that most packages are overpriced. The way to become a real veteran in European travel is to find your way around town using a map, your common sense and a lot of luck.

One thing you can scrimp on is the travel expense. You’re going to be visiting places all over Europe, which means bus rides, train rides and even flights from one place to the next. But some transportation plans for tourists can be costly, so you need to learn how the locals do it. You can do this cheaper if you really want to.

First, map out how you can get from one point to the next. You can choose from ferries, trains and buses. The train known as Eurostar is something you cannot miss and everyone you ask will probably recommend this mode of transport.

Off season booking is the way to go. Some events in France will attract more tourists. This means you can get “off season” tickets just by choosing other areas to visit first before figuring out a way to go to the seasonal destination. This could mean taking a slower transportation mode, which should be fine if your goal is to move around. You can get off the Eurostar somewhere else that will have a cheaper mode of transport.

Visit this website for more information on:
Eurostar London to Paris
Eurostar Tickets

Travelling around Europe by train is a great way to see the continent. Not only can you get to almost all of the popular locations by train but there are many other places which are off the beaten track which you can get to as well. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of such a trip.

- One of the most important choices you will need to make is in regards to the type of train ticket to buy. If you are going to buy a new ticket every time you get on a train, then it might end up costing you a fortune. A much better idea is to buy a Europass which will allow you to travel around for as many days as the pass is good for.

- But if you don’t plan on spending a lot of time on the train or taking multiple journeys then it might not offer you the best value for money. The best advice is to do a cost-benefit analysis and then decide which option makes the most sense.

- When you are planning your trip it is very tempting to be overambitious. You may not find that travelling around by train is as fun as you thought it was going to be especially if you are planning to take a long journey every other day or so; sometimes is sounds easier than it is in reality. Taking time out for exploration and relaxation will be worthwhile although it is understandable that you might want to try and fit in as much as you can in one trip.

- Travelling during the night on a sleeper train might make more sense because you can actually get your travelling done while you sleep and then you are up bright and fresh and ready to tackle your new location. However these sleeper cabins do tend to get full very quickly so it is a good idea to book them in advance.

- As long as you are prepared to adapt to any changes that might occur, you can really enjoy a trip like this.

It is a lot of fun getting an English ferry (ferry angleterre) when visiting England. Quite often though, people enjoy using the Channel Tunnel (tunnel sous la manche). If you want to stay in England (sejour angleterre), these are the best ways to go.

I spent last weekend in New York on a shopping trip. What a great world we now live in when we can now just hop on a plane and visit a great city like New York for a couple of days. The fact that it wasn’t even too expensive for the hotel or the flights made it even better. I saw a cheap flight in the newspaper and just decided to go for it. I always thought that the prices advertised were never really the price that you got when you tried to book but I was glad to be proved wrong about this. After paying for both my flights and accommodation, I was only down four hundred pounds; I couldn’t believe it.

There are a lot of people who would put New York at the top of their list of shopping destinations in the whole world. I have to say i found it very hard not to take my credit cards to the max because of the choice available. And even though I had a lot of will power, I really did spend quite a bit. In New York you will also be amazed by the entertainment which is on offer. I was a bit worried about heading to a restaurant and some bars on my own as a single woman but I shouldn’t have been concerned at all because it didn’t bother anyone. On the Saturday night I went to a Broadway show and that was an experience that I’ll never forget.

It really is not expensive to go on one of these short breaks and I would recommend it to anyone. I would go again in a heartbeat. It really is good for our mental state to grab a few breaks like this throughout the year. In my opinion if you can take a break through the winter, it doesn’t feel so endless; I really don’t think one holiday abroad is enough.

When talking about huge corporations, one name that always springs to mind is virgin. That massive company founded by the great richard branson. There are many arms of the Virgin brand, including music reviews.

Definitely, this island should have a sign saying “get lost in this stunning scenery”! Bermuda is one of the Caribbean’s most stunning of all its islands. The great thing about Bermuda is that the beaches and the ocean provide perfect beach holidays for you and family. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, then the only one i will recommend on this island is the Coco Reef hotel!

Bermuda is actually a British overseas territory, one of the last remaining! Out of all the islands Bermuda is one of the most culturally varied, which means there are a whole range of different arts and crafts. Obviously if you stay at the hotels this will be more difficult to experience, but there is much more to see. The night life in Bermuda is very welcoming and what ever your fancy you can find it, whether that just be relaxing, or if it also involves partying the night away! Traditional dancers known as Gombey dancers flood out into the open in what we would consider fancy dress, but they colourful and talented.

Bermuda holidays have benefited greatly from the sports side of things as well. Cricket is the nation’s national sport and because of its positioning in the West Indies, Cricket is very popular here. Newcomers and tourists are welcome to join the locals in a few games of cricket! You will also find that golf is another one of the big sports here! Speaking of various sports, Bermuda is also very well known for having the most in terms of percentage of land to amount of golf course coverage.

The glorious location of this island means that there is a massive wide range of choices. The climate here is of a tropical nature, which means that it is perfect for all of you sea lovers! Caribbean holidays are seeing a rise in tourist’s year on year, and Bermuda is no exception to the rest of these islands. Luxury holidays are constantly increasing in popularity as prices keep on getting more competitive!

Whether you like it or not, there will come a time that you will need a map no matter how good you are at directions. You definitely are familiar with maps. You can find them imprinted in large sized glossy paper that you can hardly see the road while you are driving. This is one of the reasons why most people would rather shook off the idea and rely on their GPS instead. That is if you are talking about going away from one point to another. What if you are in a situation where you are not sure of where you are headed to? Say, getting lost in the forest while you are trekking a few miles from the urban area. It can be such a horrifying experience to be in.

No matter how advanced our lifestyle today, we still need to go back to the basics in certain moments in our day to day life. Who would think he might need topographic maps on one of his usual trips? You would not want to catch yourself unprepared in situations without having the very thing that can save you. You might as well regret you did not take the chance of obtaining just one copy of free topographical maps from the internet.

Actually having the free topographical maps would not solve your entire problem. The question is that how to read and use it. The map can be worthless if you have no idea on how to use it. But, it is not yet too late for you to learn the very basic method in reading topographic map. In fact, a little information could help you a lot whenever the situations calls for it.

The first thing that you need to know is that you must know the difference between a topographic map from a regular map. Topographic maps are 3 dimensional while a regular map is only 2 dimensional. The topographic map shows more detailed information which includes land’s contours, vegetation bodies of water, elevation, land as well as infrastructures within certain areas. Secondly, you have to learn the meaning of the lines, colors and symbols in it. Lines could either be straight, dash, solid or a combination thereof. Typically these varying lines represent contours, roads, boundaries and many others. You would be able to observe different colors in the map like blue, green, brown, red, purple and black as well. Each of these colors represents a certain think like bodies of water and vegetation. Various symbols would include different shaped infrastructures, bridges, properties, houses and more.

You would be able to use the map effortlessly after a few minutes of learning it. Of course, this skill can help you a lot particularly if you are an adventurous person. So do not wait much longer, get your free topographic maps from the web and start discovering it now.

It was a very close match till it was 11-9 then after than Phil Taylor just gets changes gear and cruises past the Dutch master Raymond van Barneveld to win hsi 11th Matchplay crown and also his third title in a row at Blackpool. This is an outstanding achievement from, undoubtedly the best dart player of all times and it doesn’t look like Phil will stop with this. He said he will continue to try and win every championship he plays in.

Raymond van Barneveld did make it a good match when he fought back to only trail by two after that Taylor gone up a gear or two and finished the game 18-12. This man seems to produce the goods when needed. Raymond did not play a bad match but Taylor was just miles ahead of him in scoring high numbers.

Taylor, now 49 has won Matchplay crown three years in a row and it doesn’t look like he is going to stop anytime soon. He was interviewed after the match when he said no matter how many times I win this trophy it always feels great holding it in my hand. Looks like he still wants to win more tournaments and plenty more fire in that belly. All the guy is trying to say is he will try and keep winning and his opponents will have to improve vastly to beat him or wait till he retires.

In darts Phil Taylor is certainly head and shoulder above everyone else. So it is very hard to step up and beat him. Phil beat Raymond with ease and Raymond is World number two behind Phil.

I organise dart championship within a cruise ship from Regent cruises and Holland America cruises for last 15 years. I certainly cannot play like Phil or any of the profession but I sure love watching darts.

One of the best choices for skiing for those of us who live in the UK, is France. The French Alps provides us with fantastic skiing conditions and it really has never been easier to get to France than it is right now. The French ski resorts really are superb and offer great value for money. In fact planning your trip correctly could mean that you get it very cheap indeed which might come as a surprise. Taking the train could mean that it is only a few hours before you are hitting the slopes.

The accommodation in the French Alps is great for everyone’s tastes and there is so much choice there. The whole area really is very scenic and the resorts are situated at the heart of this beautiful winter wonderland. Some of these resorts will have absolutely everything you could possibly need and they are very sophisticated. There are ones which are perfect for families with every single member of a family finding something to entertain them. These resorts make sure that you will never be bored because you can find plenty of places where you will get fine food and enough drink to last the whole night long.

The most popular French ski resorts are Savoy in the north of the country and Dauphine in the south. Mont Blanc which is the tallest mountain in Western Europe is located near Savoy so anyone heading to this resort will get to enjoy this. If you have never been skiing before then you don’t have to worry because each of these locations will cater for skiiers of all levels. Most of these resorts are situated right next to quaint little villages where you will be welcomed with open arms. And even if you are not that keen on skiing, you will still find plenty to amuse you in these resorts.

Tickets for London, England and the Eurotunnel (billet eurotunnel) are vital for your trip to the UK (voyage en angleterre). As well as this, you want to be thinking about your English hotel stay (hotel angleterre).

Imagine if you get up one day to a sudden, violent and dangerous event in your area like a national disaster, major riot or terrorist attack? How prepared are you to face such situations? Admit it. Catastrophes hit double time whenever people face it unprepared. Most individual’s first reaction would be to panic, unclear about leaving right away or hide inside their homes. Some would even fail to make a quick escape because of the valuables they just cannot leave behind. You must keep in mind that your life is far more precious than any valuable thing in this world. However, that does not mean you would not have to bring along anything with you when you are faced with surprising and horrifying events such as these.

Actually it is natural for us to panic during various circumstances. But preparedness can save you and your family to the probability of going through fortuitous events. Would you even think that topographic maps could help you a lot during these times? You might as well see free topographical maps in a various perspective from this day forward. Well, a little effort in getting ready for a forthcoming and devastating event won’t kill you. The opposite would.

Being prepared at all times is very easy. All you need to have are important things which you could pull out easily by the time you have to leave. Most people suggest having an already stuffed emergency backpack containing all the necessary things you will need in order to survive. Simple things such as a bottle of water, energy bars, knife, flashlight, medicines, first aid kit, spare keys and topographic maps would do you well for a day. Some of us may also include a small battery radio and insect repellent.

All these things must be places in a bag and safely stored in the garage, your car compartment or any place in the house which you have easy access to whenever an emergency happens. It is good to prepare a bag for each family member as well. This way, you are sure that they will be able to make it though the day in case you lose track of each other.

You certainly would find it effortless to collect all those things stated earlier. In case you don’t have topographic maps, try to search the web for free topographical maps. There are actually websites that provide it for free. But make sure you don’t wait another day more before you act on it. Tomorrow might be a little too late.

How about we take a little time to talk about holidays which may be a little more exotic, and maybe you hadn’t even considered them at-all. Instead of thinking about the run of the mill holidays in Spain or Greece, there are a few different holidays that you may like to conside.
¢ The most popular of all the Caribbean holiday destinations is Barbados. You can find just about anything to do here, it’s got everything for everyone and anyone. Both the people and the scenery here are always amazing. Other unbeatable attractions are diving in the ocean, the beaches and, of course, the weather. Barbados holidays have recently become very popular with young holiday makers because of both the night life and beach life. Barbados make a great impression with both young couples and older couples too. As well as the many sports activities to get stuck into, including diving, water skiing and jet skiing, and you might not know it but Barbados also offers art galleries, duty free shopping as well as jewellers and fantastic beach-front restaurants.

¢ Although well known for its ‘Hippy Trail’ and as a destination for gap-year students, Thailand hasn’t always been the most popular destination for the average traveller but as Thailand is getting more popular among those who want a ‘proper’ holiday but don’t simply want to lounge beside a pool that’s exactly the same as every other one that belongs to the same chain hotel. If you want something that’s a little more adventurous then Thailand is certainly a place you should give a go. If you want to try travelling around Asia, then Thailand is a great destination to begin with. As you move down through the country you will be transported from a westernised modern Asian culture through to the more relaxed, spiritual and less urbanised areas. The two most popular cities in Thailand are Bangkok and Phuket, One a bustling modern metropolis the other only a few kilometres from some of the most enchanting beaches you’ll ever see. Thailand holidays are an amazing way to experience a completely different culture, and believe it or not some of the worlds most luxurious hotels are here as well. The one hotel I would recommend you all check out is the Evason Six Senses!
¢ Keeping to the East but not quite as far you’ll hit Mauritius probably the most peaceful of all the holiday choices. Do you enjoy the odd spa holiday or two? If you are a lover of relaxation and chilling with your feet up then there is really no better place. Just imagine a hotel set amongst the trees and green lands in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with clear blue skies that are only surpassed by the blueness of the sea. Spa treatments are on the menu here, and such a massive amount of them. Mauritius holidays are made for those who just want to make the time to chill out and enjoy the time they have on the island far from any of the distractions of home.
